Finding the Right Training Provider

Now you have made the decision to join the fitness profession and you know which qualifications you need to practice, the next and perhaps most significant stage is to decide which training provider to entrust with your training business. Be sure to take your time in this process and ensure that you have all of the information you need to be able to make a informed and intelligent decision.

This brief article does not seek to persuade you to buy one of our fitness industry training solutions, rather we simply want to ensure that you have considered all of the factors associated with this decision.

In no particular order, when considering which provider to select, be sure to establish the following 10 points:

  1. that the course you are considering leads to a nationally accredited qualification, and is certificated by a leading governing body like CYQ or Active IQ
  2. how long has the training provider been in business and what proven record do they have of delivering the qualification(s) you are considering?
  3. What costs will be involved if you need to change/transfer your course to a different date?
  4. what is the tutor-student ratio on the training course?
  5. if the course is delivered directly, home-study or blended-learning?
  6. if in the unfortunate event that you referred an assessment, what re-assessment fees will be applied?
  7. What learning materials will you be provided with and who as produced these?
  8. if you can have a sample of the learning materials before you enroll
  9. what the cancellation policy is if they enroll and find that the course is not what they expected?
  10. the frequency that courses are held to ensure that you have the flexibility to complete your training in a way that best suits your needs
