Do your fitness courses lead to nationally accredited qualifications?
All of our fitness courses are certificated through fitness-industry recognised awarding bodies like Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) and Active IQ. Because these awarding bodies specialise in health and fitness qualifications, they ensure that you receive the highest quality of training, assessment and qualification. This also ensures that you are better positioned to gain employment upon their completion.
How long have you delivered health and fitness instructor qualification?
As a company we have been incorporated since 2006 as Innervate Training however early 2012, we changed our name to Health and Fitness Education (HFE). In addition to our successful record since incorporation, our senior management team have been designing, delivering and supporting learners on fitness-sector qualifications for over 10 years.
Am I able to change my course dates after I place a booking?
Health and Fitness Education has a flexible policy on course bookings and dates and so there is always scope to move the dates if you don’t feel ready for your course or the dates no longer suit you. What is the tutor-student ratio on your fitness courses?
Health and Fitness Education prides itself on low student to tutor ratios to ensure that you receive the highest quality of training and support. We generally work on a ratio of 1:6, that beeing 1 tutor to 6 students. On some occasions, especially when there is a lot of classroom work, this ratio may extend to 1:8 however this is not typical.
Are the courses delivered directly or do they involve home-study?
All of our courses are delivered through blended-learning. This does necessitate some home-study before the practical aspects of your training course to ensure that you are fully prepared to engage at the required level. By undertaking some home-study before you attend the practical training, we are able to pitch the courses at an accelerated pace. By delivering our courses with less physical contact, we are able to ensure that we can keep the cost of our courses at a price that suits you.
Am I able to re-take assessments if I don’t pass them first time?
Absolutely. In the unfortunate event that you refer an assessment, we are able to provide you with re-assessment as and when required. Depending on the assessment, there is likely to be a small re-assessment fee to cover the costs of providing the new assessment. In order to help you prepare for you re-assessment, you are able to continue to access support from our team of Learner Support Tutors.
What materials will I receive when I book one of your courses?
When you book one of our courses, we will provide you with a range of course-specific learning materials, including:
- -colour training manuals
- -interactive e-Learning
- -audiobooks
- -access to our Learner Management System
- -practice assessments
- -email and telephone support from our Learner Support Tutors
Am I able to sample your learning materials before I book one of your courses?
Absolutely. We do have samples of our learning materials on our main website. You can view these at www.hfe.co.uk
What is the cancellation policy if I want to cancel my course after booking?
Once you have booked your course, your materials will be dispatched the same day. Health and Fitness Education operates a 14 day money back guarantee so if you are not happy with the quality of our training, the materials, or any other aspect of your course, you can simply return the books for a full refund. Outside of the first 14 days, there will be a cancellation fee to cover the cost of providing the training to you. How frequently are your fitness courses held if I need to re-arrange my dates?
As a general rule, we deliver each of our courses every 10-12 weeks at each venue in order to ensure that there is plenty of scope and flexibility to move your course to a later date if you need to. If you don’t want to defer the practical element of your course by as much as 10-weeks, you can always transfer the practical element of your course to a different venue. Because we deliver our courses throughout the country, you can rest assured that you would not need to travel too far to get to an alternative training centre.
