Exercise to Music Instructor Pay
The rate of pay for an exercise to music instructor varies tremendously depending on the mode of employment. Freelances typically earn between £15.00-£25.00 per hour or session depending on their employer, but those who work for themselves, have a potentially uncapped income.
For example, if an exercise to music instructor ran their own classes, and had 20 people attending, their earnings for one hour would be:
20 x £3.50 = £70.00 (minus £15.00 for venue hire)- actual pay = £65.00 per hour
Exercise to Music Qualifications
The Level 2 Certificate in Exercise to Music Instruction (CYQ or Active IQ) is the entry level qualification for anyone wanting to teach group exercise.
This qualification is usually required to deliver any of the Les Mills programmes, Zumba and other branded pre-choreographed exercise programmes.
